I'm not just wishing for a better world – I'm trying to make it happen! My family and I stopped using plastic water bottles, and I even organised a bookmark sale at school to raise money for Greenpeace. I believe that even small actions can make a big difference, and I'm so excited to see what we can accomplish together! Cut plastic at the source

Plastic hurts animals and people from the moment it's made to when it's thrown away, so we need to reduce it at the source, not just clean it up later.

Microplastics in HK wildlife

In Hong Kong, tiny plastic bits called microplastics were found in 85% of poo samples from wild mammals, which shows plastic pollution is reaching nature everywhere.

Choose reuse

We can choose reuse over throwaway items and ask brands and governments to set clear targets to cut plastic production and end single-use.

Greenpeace and allies are calling for a strong, legally binding Global Plastics Treaty that cuts plastic production and builds a reuse-based future worldwide.

Sep 2024:

With researchers, Greenpeace revealed microplastics in 85% of wild mammal samples across Hong Kong, urging stronger upstream action to keep plastic out of nature.

Apr 2024:

Public pressure helped advance Hong Kong's disposable plastic tableware controls, with thousands of people joining to ask for earlier and stronger rules.

2023-2024:

Reuse systems like borrow-and-return cups are scaling across districts and events, showing that convenient, safe, and low-waste options are possible.

2021:

Over 24,000 petitions pushed supermarkets to address excessive packaging and reduce pointless plastic in stores.

Apr 2017:

After Greenpeace's microbeads campaign, retailers including A.S. Watson and 759 Store committed to phase out microplastic products in Hong Kong.

Is my donation eligible for tax deduction?

Donations over HK$100 are tax-deductible.

Why is a monthly donation so important?

Every penny you donate, no matter the amount or form of donation, represents your support and confidence in Greenpeace’s environmental protection projects, and can help us achieve more for the environment worldwide. To safeguard our independence, Greenpeace never accepts funding from government, business, or political groups, and only accepts direct donations from citizens like you and independent foundations.

Therefore, regular donations are important to us. A stable income supports the long-term development of our environmental protection projects. We persist, so there is hope. Your stable and continuous support is the key to success in our environmental campaigns.

When will I receive a donation receipt?

Greenpeace will prepare annual receipts for single and monthly donation donors at the end of the financial year on March 31, and send them to the mailing address or email address from April to May.

When will my donation be processed?

Donations made by credit card are processed instantly. A recurring monthly payment is set up and made around the 1st of every month.
For monthly donations made by direct debit, the first transactions are processed around the 1st or 28th of the first month.

捐款可享扣稅優惠嗎？

綠色和平是「認可慈善捐款」機構，只要捐款港幣100元或以上，即可憑收據在香港申請扣稅。

為何每月捐款如此重要？

您捐助的一分一毫，不論金額或形式，都代表對綠色和平環保項目的支持及信心，能協助我們在世界各地為環境成就更多。

為了維持公正和中立，綠色和平從不接受任何政府、企業或政治團體的資助，只接受市民和獨立基金的直接捐款。因此，會員的定期定額捐款對我們尤其重要，能夠為我們提供穩定的捐款收入，持續支援我們的環保項目發展，讓綠色和平推動環保的計畫與工作得以長遠實行。

我什麼時候會收到捐款收據？

不論您透過什麼途徑進行捐款，捐款人都會收到綠色和平發出的正式收據，捐款港幣100元或以上可憑收據在香港申請扣稅。我們於每年3月31日財政年度完結時，為單次／每月捐款會員準備年度收據，並於4月至5月發送至通訊地址或電郵地址（提示︰收據電郵有機會被自動歸類為「垃圾郵件」或「推廣」。如要避免，您可以將我們加入成為您的聯絡人）。若您有其他有關收據的問題，可致電會員熱線(852) 2854 8318，或電郵至donor.services.hk@greenpeace.org。

成為每月捐款會員後，捐款會在什麼日子進行轉帳？

綠色和平會於每年3月31日財政年度完結時，為每月捐款會員準備年度收據，並於4月至5月發送至通訊地址或電郵地址。銀行自動轉帳首次過數為該月約1日或28日；往後固定約於每月1日過數。
